JASPER 8-7-00 to 1-29-10

We found out a week ago that Jasper had a large mass in her chest causing water retention in the tissue of her face and chest. We tried prednizone to try and reduce the cancer but it had no effect. David and I knew we would never put any of our dogs thru chemo or major surgery that would lead to months or years of pain and illness. Jasper had a quiet passing with those that love her this afternoon. 10 years of companionship and antics have left us with memories of the love that Jasper shared with us. Her life was filled with hunting badger, racoon and muskrats along with patroling our neighbor's horse pasture for gophers. Jasper would sit for hours on end in the summer sun waiting for the small heads to pop up out of their holes.

Jasper was a wonderful mother to the two litters that she graced this world with.
Being our first Jack Russell Jasper was a bit stunned to see Doty come into our pack.

A nice nap in David's bed was a must have for Jasper.

Jasper could always be found somewhere near David as he work around the house
or on a trip with him to work. David had to keep an eye on her at the airport because
she got in trouble out chasing a rabbit onto the airstrip. When David saw her it looked
like she was chasing an airline as it took off.

She was the perfect mom.

Jasper always provided us with laughs and she loved peanut butter.

Jasper will be missed very much and has left a hole in our hearts that will take a long

time to heal. Our memories of her will help to comfort us as the days go by.
